Daira Sabz-Afghanistan received third prize in ICIMOD's Clean Air Prize 2023 for its residential heating filtration initiative in Kabul. This recognition placed our work among clean-air solutions highlighted across the Hindu Kush Himalaya region of Asia.

Connecting pollution control with public information
Our approach connects practical emissions-reduction measures with environmental monitoring and locally informed technical advice. Daira Sabz also operates a Kabul-based air-quality monitoring station listed on IQAir, contributing publicly accessible information that helps people better understand local air pollution.
For public institutions, development partners and businesses, we bring together Afghan specialists, field experience and internationally recognised methods appropriate to each assignment. Our focus is on reliable evidence, practical recommendations and solutions adapted to local conditions and regulatory requirements.
We welcome collaboration on air-quality monitoring, pollution assessment, emissions-control options and institutional capacity development in Afghanistan, alongside regional knowledge exchange across Asia.
