About Daira Sabz Consulting and Engineering Group

Daira Sabz Consulting & Engineering Group, a group of registered entities operating in Germany and Afghanistan and certified to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, invites qualified renewable-energy professionals and female solar PV technicians to submit their CVs for an anticipated nationwide renewable-energy operation and maintenance assignment in Afghanistan.

The assignment is expected to cover solar PV system assessment, preventive and corrective maintenance, technical training, female workforce development, component repair and replacement, recycling and regeneration, environmental safeguards, occupational health and safety, community awareness and technical reporting.

Positions

  1. Team Leader / Renewable Energy Engineer — One position

Minimum requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Power Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • At least seven years of professional experience in renewable-energy projects, solar PV systems, operation and maintenance, and management of multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site or geographically dispersed renewable-energy assignments.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects, technical reporting and implementation in Afghanistan or comparable fragile contexts.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is an advantage.
  1. Renewable Energy Training Specialist — One position

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Technical Education or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in renewable-energy training, technical capacity development or workforce-development programmes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of solar PV modules, batteries, inverters, protection systems, electrical safety and system maintenance.
  • Experience developing training curricula and delivering classroom, practical and field-based training.
  • Experience mentoring technicians and conducting competency assessments.
  • Strong English communication and report-writing skills.
  1. Repair, Recycling and Regeneration Specialist — One position

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Circular Economy or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis, repair, refurbishment, recycling, regeneration or lifecycle management of solar PV modules, batteries, inverters and electrical equipment.
  • Experience designing or implementing e-waste, resource-recovery or environmentally responsible disposal solutions.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety, hazardous-material handling and environmental compliance.
  • Strong written and spoken English.

The RFP assigns specific points to relevant academic qualifications, five years of repair and lifecycle-management experience, implementation of resource-recovery solutions and English reporting capability.

  1. Female Solar PV Technicians — Minimum 25 positions

These positions are specifically for women.

Minimum requirements

  • Diploma, vocational training certificate or university degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Energy Systems or another relevant technical discipline.
  • At least one year of relevant experience or practical exposure to:
    • Solar PV systems;
    • Electrical installation;
    • Preventive or corrective maintenance;
    • Batteries and inverters;
    • Testing, commissioning or troubleshooting.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections, identify faults, perform maintenance activities and prepare basic technical records.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake supervised field assignments within Afghanistan.
  • Knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto.
  • Basic English and computer-reporting skills are desirable.
  • Applicants from Central, Central Highlands, Western, Northern, Southern, Eastern, Southeastern and Northeastern regions are particularly encouraged to apply.

The evaluation criteria allocate points for technical education, at least one year of practical experience, and demonstrated capacity to undertake inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting and field assignments.
