This workshop explores the relationship between environmental sanitation, disease transmission and health. It addresses technical topics such as human excreta management, including different latrine designs; animal excreta management; solid waste management; vector control for mosquitos and rodents; and domestic wastewater management. Aspects of hygiene, such as handwashing and menstrual hygiene, are also discussed regarding sanitation.
2. Target Participants
Three days (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
The fee for the course is 6900 Afghani.
The workshop also introduces a framework for implementing a sustainable and successful project, and participants discuss behaviour change and sanitation promotion to create demand for environmental sanitation. Finally, participants will learn to perform an environmental sanitation inspection and/or an environmental sanitation walk.

LP: Lesson Plan
This training is delivered by our seasoned trainers with vast experience as expert professionals in their respective practice fields. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies. The training is designed based on the principles of participatory adult and student-centred learning approaches that would build upon the experiential learning of participants. The programme pedagogy focuses on interactive group learning and aims at knowledge development and skill upgradation through peer learning. Reading and resource material developed by leading subject experts augments classroom experience. Training being a mutual learning process, the programme is built on the premise that I hear, I forget; I see, I remember; I do, I understand. The training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a certificate.
The training will be conducted at the Training Centre of Daira Sabz Consulting office in Dehbori, 3rd district of Kabul City, Kabul, Afghanistan.
The training investment covers tuition fees, learning materials, lunch, refreshments (tea, coffee, cake and cookies) and the training participation certificate.
Seats are limited; the applicants will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment should be paid in cash before the start of training. Your seat/participation will be confirmed after your registration/payment.
