Overall Objective:

In the purpose of capacity building of communities and schools for climate change and GHGs impacts in Afghanistan, Action Aid Afghanistan will implement short term training in targeted communities and schools who are at risk of disaster and climate change.

Thus, by implanting these kinds of training communities and schools (especially women and children) who are at risk they should be prepared to adapt against climate change or decrease the impact of disasters and It is focus on three adaptations, mitigation and resilience building activities:

Strengthening the national and sub-national institutional capacity of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) to support community and school-based disaster risk reduction.

Increasing the capacity of communities and schools to prepare for and respond to disasters Improving households’ coping mechanisms to disasters.
