Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) collaborated with UNDP on the ABADEI 2.0 project to launch the PEARL initiative in Afghanistan, aiming to support marginalised communities through sustainable development, humanitarian efforts, and advocacy. Targeting Northern, Southern, and Eastern regions, PEARL’s goals include enhancing community participation, women’s empowerment, and ecosystem-based adaptation for resilient livelihoods.
Daira Sabz Development and Sustainability is an Afghan-owned Consulting company led and managed by a group of experts and professionals committed to the development of the country and increasing the sustainability of services, as well as the resilience of the communities in Afghanistan implemented the Climate Smart Agriculture Training of Trainers (TOT) and Non-Training of Trainers (Non-ToT) Training in north and south zones of the country.
The goal and objectives of the Training
The goal of these training sessions are to enhance understanding, skills, and adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices in the designated areas of the PEARL Project.
• Conduct training of trainers (TOT) on Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA)
• Conduct CSA Training for Women and Men farmers in the North and South Regions.
• Development of Learning-Friendly Teaching and Learning Materials
TOT workshops: Kandahar, Zabul, Balkh provinces (covering participants from 5 provinces)
Non-TOT trainings: 16 districts across Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Samangan, and Balkh provinces.
Daira Sabz Environmental Consultancy Services Company successfully delivered CSA training to a significant number of farmers in the targeted regions. This improved understanding and adoption of climate-smart practices will contribute to building resilient livelihoods for PEARL beneficiary communities.
