  1. Introduction

Kobo Toolbox is a free, open-source tool for mobile data collection, available to all. It allows you to collect data in the field using mobile devices such as mobile phones or tablets, as well as paper or computers. Kobo Toolbox is designed to provide digital tools for traditional paper-based surveys. The surveys are designed with an online form builder; the collected data is stored in a database. It also allows for fundamental analysis of data and reporting.

The workshop participants will be able to create, execute, and manage mobile data-collecting platforms.

This course has targeted the researchers, project staff, managers, and development practitioners involved in field data collection.

  1. Course duration

Two full days (9 A.M to 3 P.M).

  1. Fee

The fee for the course is 5600 Afghani. There is a discount for group participation.

  1. Training Approach

Our seasoned trainers with vast experience as expert professionals in their respective practice fields deliver this training. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group works and case studies. The training is designed based on the principles of participatory adult and student-centred learning approaches that would build upon the experiential learning of participants. The programme pedagogy focuses on interactive group learning and aims at knowledge development and skill upgradation through peer learning. Reading and resource material developed by leading subject experts augments classroom experience. Training being a mutual learning process, the programme is built on the premise that I hear,  I forget; I see, I remember; I do, I understand.  The training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.

  1. Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a certificate.

  1. Training venue

The training will be conducted at the Training Center of Daira Sabz Consulting Main office in the Dehbori, 3rd district of Kabul City, Kabul, Afghanistan.

  1. Payment

The training investment covers tuition fees, learning materials, lunch, refreshments (tea, coffee, cake and cookies) and the training participation certificate.

  1. Registration of the Participants

Seats are limited; the applicants will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment should be paid in cash before the start of training. Your seat/participation will be confirmed after your registration/payment.
