Project Overview

Daira Sabz Consulting and Engineering Group successfully conducted a large-scale data collection project to support a socioeconomic survey assessing the impact of energy access, energy policies, and energy project developments on local communities in Bamyan and Parwan Provinces. This project was implemented in partnership with an independent contractor, Abdullah Jamal, an MSc graduate from Japan, further enhancing our credibility and market position as a trusted data collection partner for companies, researchers, and development organizations.

Objectives

✅ Collect high-quality primary data to support research on the socioeconomic impact of energy access and policies.

✅ Facilitate field-level data collection through surveys and key informant interviews.

✅ Utilize innovative data collection technologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Key Activities

Conducted 60 structured household surveys (30 per province) using mobile data collection tools.
Facilitated 10 key informant interviews (5 per province) with local stakeholders identified by the contractor.
Supported data management by ensuring accurate data entry and transfer to the contractor for analysis.
Ensured seamless field operations while adhering to local administrative requirements and ethical standards.

Our data collection teams leveraged digital platforms such as KOBO Toolbox and mobile tablets, ensuring efficiency, data accuracy, and real-time monitoring.
